The art of designing a new organization.

Every growth facing organization is challenged to operate its model with the same team who increased the company´s results in the past, but; there will be a time to design a new one.

How does it have to be done?

There are several methods to draw a new organization chart. We highly recommend the following 3:

  • Processes orientation.
  • In this method the heads have large experience in executing and managing end-to-end processes. For example; you have the commercial head, the financial head, the marketing head an so on. This is the most used method of organizing teams.

  • Products orientation.
  • This second method is common in retail, the products orientation means to organize the team according to the family of products. Therefore, you may have the head of foods, the head of clothing, the head of groceries, etc. In this method you will always need one executive head to manage the entire organization as in the financial, commercial, back office and operations processes.

  • Clients orientation.
  • The clients orientation method refers to divide the teams to push certain products results and analyze the company in terms of products efficiency. For example, a bank; they have the Business Banking, the Corporate Banking, the Insurance Division, the Massive Banking and some others according to the bank size and offer.

    In addition, when the need comes to innovate the organization chart, you should be always hiring new members with the right skills, experience and cultural fits in order to creat a great combination of internal experiences and outside best practices and new working ideas.
